For centuries and more, the basic quest of Human life has been to understand and know for sure what is life beyond death. The very concepts of Heaven and Hell for Christians, The rebirth idea for Hindus or the Jannat and Dojhak for Muslims are born out of this search.
But in the recent times this concept of After Life is loosing its charm. And its not because it does not exist, but because the self proclaimed and widely followed spiritual leaders of modern times have failed to explain what lies beyond. And it’s not even a mistake on their part. The world beyond the body, the mind, the very soul is so intangible that it is not practically possible to explain it in words and analogies. A few blessed souls who by their utter perseverance and strong will, get to know, experience and understand the next world often face two major questions of whether to try and explain what they have known and comprehended. Also the other question is How. The only practical way to understand this concept is to experience it for yourself. It takes higher levels of meditation to penetrate the veils of this life and peek into what lies on the other side. You also need to be blessed with higher levels of intellect to make sense of the understanding that comes to you.
The basis of all Religions of the world is nothing but an attempt of various souls, that existed during different times, to explain and put to words this very experience. These blessed souls took upon themselves the steep task of explaining the beauty of sky at sunrise to the blind world oblivious to color and light. These preachers during their earthly lives succeeded in getting people to understand and follow their method of explanation of After Life and the impact our present life had on it. However as most of them left for what comes next, their followers who had not experienced the sunrise for themselves, interpreted and reinterpreted the teachings to meet their own level of understanding and ego. This resulted in wrong ideas and notions taking root in our society.
In today’s time most of the Religions have been reduced to be nothing but tools of mass delusion and control on blind followers. As religion failed to explain and provide answers to the quest, Science came forward to try and explain what comes after life. Numerous experiments have been conducted and various theories put forward by science to explain the Life after death, but science is yet to come to close to finding an answer. However as a side effect of this attempt science has been able to provide a better understanding of the present life and found a lot of ways to improve it as well. But as the results progress on getting the tools of improving the present life, science keeps distancing from the quest of finding what comes after it.
Today the only way to find an answer is to experience it for yourself. Not see not study but experience. If you see a sunrise you will see that it is a beautiful and the colors of sunrise are amazing. If you study sunrise you will find out that its an astronomical occurrence and the colors are due to the refractive index of light and the difference in angle at which the rays enter the atmosphere of earth. But if you happen to experience sunrise, you will realise that a sunrise is much more than colors of sky and coming of sunlight. A sunrise is mark of ending the darkness of night, its a promise of a new day filled with hopes and happiness. Similarly if you really wish to know about Life after Death and don’t want to settle for the easy explanation provided by either religion or science, get to meditation.
