Somewhere in between Life

somewhere-in-lifeIt’s 4 a.m. Not the usual time for her to wake up, but she is up. Not Particularly tired from half-sleep or drowsy she is totally relaxed. She looks to her right, he is in sound sleep. Dim light of the bedroom is giving his calm and relaxed face a glow of its own. It’s still a few hours before he wakes and they both get on with their morning routine – the daily choirs of an average middle class life.

She had almost lost him at one point. And now here she was two years into marriage, leading exactly what a loving and happening married life should be. A few years back, when she was still a student in college, she saw him for the first time. She knew – This was the Man. He was a senior, an intellectual, studious, good boy types. Even though she herself was a ranker and book dweller herself, but still it was his sincerity & knowledge that attracted her. She still believes that the main purpose of college events is to bring juniors & seniors together, giving them time and reason to interact & eventually fall in love.

He passed out in sometime & went on to pursue his career & she was still at college collecting Gold medals. His career didn’t had a typical skyrocket kind of start so he had time for her often. But as his work load increased he started to drift a bit. Meanwhile the parents at both the homes caught the winds of their on-goings through some good-for-nothing jealous  types. The added narrations and expert opinions of some unknown, non concerned people caused both the families to oppose. This stern opposition went to such a huge end that both the families ended but literally fighting with each other. This also caused an unwanted strain on their relation.

Among all this  chaos & family drama, he had to move out of town on pretext of a better career opportunity & she was kind of left alone. But in a favorable tuns of events, pretty soon she got a chance to move to the same city he was in, for higher studies. But their relation had come to a strange bend, where neither of them knew what comes next. Next two years of post graduation were very long, tough & frustrating.

Her family was not supportive, his family members were also far from being convinced & life had come to a standstill. He was acting all weird and depressed due the pressure of this relationship and his demanding career also weighing him further down. She started wondering whether she was worth his Love & whether she deserved to be a part of his life. Most importantly she was a Good Person !
