Somewhere in between Life

It is really hard to know what you really want in life when you are not sure who you are. This dilemma caused her to behave in irrational & irritating ways to him. All this lead to even him thinking about the pro and cons of continuing with the relationship and seriously considering an end. Both of them kind of followed a routine of Break-ups and Make-ups on regular basis. Her mind would say, he deserves better & her heart would say, but I need him. This conflict went on for a long time as long as what felt like a lifetime.

Eventually at a pretty unknown time, place & situation both of them decided they must put an end to all this and get married. A strange decision considering the circumstance, but a good one nevertheless. Both their families were still not convinced assuring that their marriage became a big ordeal. Some members of his family after a long convincing, whining and name calling gave their consent. Finally a traditional marriage was conducted in presence of friends and some family. Her parents & family decided to stay away from the ceremony and from their life. This made the grand occasion loose some shine.

Life since marriage has mostly been uneventful apart from the deepening of their Love and Respect for each other with every passing day. Her mother has reached out and opened a line of communication between the two families. She even visits her sometime. Both their careers are on an upward path. The daily routines are mostly set and life is going on at a steady pace.

He stirred in his sleep causing her to jolt back from her thoughts. So much has happened over last several years and life seems pretty big. She smiled as he turned to face her & said to herself –

“Somewhere in between Life, I did get my Fairy Tale”
